How to Use the Templates

OPTION 1: Canva

  1. Click the link above to open the template in Canva. You’ll be prompted to log in or create a free account if you haven’t already. If prompted, select “Open Editor.”
  2. Click “View template.” This creates your own editable version inside of your account. Think of it as a duplicate of the original template. It’s yours to do what you like with.
  3. Customize the content.
    1. Click into the text placeholders to add your employee’s name, title, and a brief shoutout.
    2. Drag and drop your employee’s photo onto the placeholder image. (Some options don’t have images, in case you’d like to celebrate an employee without sharing their photo.)
    3. Drag and drop your logo from your computer, then move it where you want it to go. We’ve added white spaces specifically for this purpose, but you can add yours anywhere you like.
  4. Download your graphic.
    1. When you’re happy with it, click Share in the top right corner.
    2. Select Download and choose PNG or JPG for best social sharing quality.
  5. Post it! Upload the image to LinkedIn via your company page. Add a short caption with the story behind the shoutout — and don’t forget to tag them!

OPTION 2: Google Slides

  1. Click the link above to open the template in Google Slides. You’ll need a Google or Gmail account, but it’s free to set one up.
  2. Click “Make a copy.” This creates your own editable version inside of your account. It’s a duplicate of the original, so you can do what you like with it from there.
    1. Click File > Download > PNG image (.png) or JPEG image (.jpg). If you only want one slide, be sure to select it before downloading.
  5. Share and celebrate. Post the image to social, add a thoughtful caption, and give your teammate the recognition they deserve. Don’t forget to tag them!

Tip: Recognition posts work best when they’re specific and sincere.

It’s not just about design — it’s about telling a great story. Make sure to include:

  • What the person did or achieved

  • Why it mattered to your team

  • A personal note or thank-you. It doesn’t have to be long — just sincere and genuine.
